We recently completed a ground floor renovation and extension on Kings Avenue in Lilliput. The goal was to deliver a bright, modern open-plan space with clean finishes and practical features. Project Overview
This residential project in Lilliput involved extending and reconfiguring the ground floor to create a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Alongside this, we added a utility room, a downstairs WC, and completed full plumbing and electrical installations, all finished to a high specification.
What We Did
Site Visit
Our first step was to carry out a detailed site visit. This allowed us to assess the current structure, understand access points, and identify any challenges early on. We listened carefully to the homeowner’s needs, focusing on how they wanted the new space to feel and function.

Planning and Design

Practical features like a separate utility room and WC were thoughtfully integrated. We also specified all finishes in advance - including kitchen style, flooring, and fittings - so the project could progress efficiently with no surprises or delays down the line.
Construction
Construction began with the rear extension, expanding the existing footprint to allow for the new open-plan area. Internal walls were removed to open up the space, while structural steel supports were added for stability.
All plumbing and electrics were installed to support the new kitchen layout and appliances. Bi-fold aluminium doors and skylights were fitted to flood the room with natural light. We maintained tight control over timings and budget throughout the build, keeping the client informed at every stage.
Decoration and Finishing Touches
To bring the space to life, we installed a statement Magnet ‘Tatton White’ and navy kitchen, paired with ‘White Aurora’ worktops for a luxurious, modern look. Warm oak LVT flooring ran throughout the new layout for a cohesive feel.
Pendant lights over the kitchen island added both ambience and visual interest. With premium AEG appliances and a bespoke flush extractor, the space delivered style and substance. Every detail was considered to create a polished, elegant finish.
